When it comes to stage mishaps, Taylor Swift and her crew are experts at shaking it off! During her second Eras Tour concert in Dublin on Saturday, June 29, the 34-year-old pop star got stuck on a raised platform. Luckily, one of her backup dancers, Jan Ravnik, came to her rescue.

Unplanned Interruption

While performing “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived,” Swift found herself stranded midair on a platform at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium after it failed to retract as planned. Unlike the adjacent platform carrying Ravnik, which descended smoothly, Swift’s platform remained stuck, as captured by fan footage. However, both Swift and Ravnik handled the technical glitch with professionalism and continued the performance seamlessly.

Dancer to the Rescue

Without missing a beat, Ravnik walked over to Swift’s platform as soon as his own had reached the ground and helped her down effortlessly. Swift gratefully smiled at him, as shown in another clip from the performance. Once on solid ground, Swift and Ravnik resumed their positions and carried on with the show, maintaining their composure throughout the minor mishap.

Irish Inspiration

During the same Eras Tour show, Swift spoke about her album “Folklore” and revealed that Ireland played a significant role in the development of its narrative. After performing “Cardigan,” the lead single from the album, Swift told the audience, “Folklore in general, it just belongs in Ireland.” She explained that the world of the album was inspired by Ireland and its rich tradition of storytelling.

A Touch of Ireland

Swift’s first Dublin show on Friday, June28, was also filled with Irish pride. During the song “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” from her album “Red,” one of her backup dancers, Kameron Saunders, yelled the Irish phrase “póg mo thóin,” which translates to “kiss my ass.” Additionally, Swift wore an orange crop top and an ombré green skirt, a shimmering nod to the Irish flag.

Taylor Swift once again demonstrated her professionalism and commitment to her fans in Dublin. Despite the stage malfunction, she continued her performance with grace and the support of her team, showcasing her resilience and adaptability as an artist.
