Bogotá, Colombia – In a significant announcement, the distinguished Australian Pakistani doctor and founder of the Asia Pacific Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Dr. Hassan Khalil, has been appointed as Minister Counsellor for Public Health for the Permanent Cooperation Mission of the House of Feigenblatt to the Andean Parliament. This prestigious appointment highlights his track record in transcultural healthcare, global collaboration, and philanthropic leadership.

The House of Feigenblatt, an institution established by letters patent of His Majesty King Charles III’s College of Arms, convened a joint session with the Andean Parliament to formalize the cooperation agreement. Ambassador Otto Federico von Feigenblatt and Dr. Eduardo Chiliquinga, Secretary General of the Andean Parliament, co-chaired the high-level meeting alongside other prominent figures, including former Andean Parliament president Christina Reyes, eminent scholars, university rectors, diplomats, and leaders in the field of education and diplomacy.

Addressing the congregation at the Andean Parliament Secretariat, Dr. Khalil emphasized the importance of deepening ties and fostering connections across Latin America, South Asia, and Australia. He highlighted the abundant opportunities for collaborative growth, particularly noting how improved trade and infrastructure can boost GDP and spur economic development across all involved regions.

Dr. Khalil’s appointment as Minister Counsellor for Public Health is both an acknowledgment of his medical and humanitarian expertise and a testament to the House of Feigenblatt’s commitment to bridging global communities. In this new role, he will participate in high-level discussions in the Andean Parliament, shaping regional policies affecting over 100 million citizens across Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and associate member Chile. He will also engage with senior policymakers, diplomats, and thought leaders in monthly coordination meetings and international events and enhance education, development, and cultural diplomacy through proactive international cooperation.

Notably, Turkey and Morocco serve as observer members, further broadening the Parliament’s global reach.

Dr. Hassan Khalil FRSA, FRACGP is an Australian Pakistani thought leader and advocate for cross-cultural cooperation. An alumnus of Harvard Medical School, Queen Marry University of London , Royal College of Surgeons and University of Edinburgh , Dr. Khalil is recognized for his transformative insights on healthcare, compassion, and self-worth. Beyond his professional practice, he actively participates in charitable ventures in collaboration with organizations like Akhuwat, focusing on poverty alleviation through microfinance. In November 2022, Dr. Khalil received a Medal of Excellence from the President of Pakistan, underlining his profound commitment to service and leadership.

Headquartered at Everwise Hall in Florida, the House of Feigenblatt sponsors the “Ambassador Otto Federico von Feigenblatt Interuniversity Lecture Series for Peace, Development, and Education,” a collaboration with over 40 universities and academic institutions worldwide.
